Introducing the RockBLOCK APNT
The RockBLOCK APNT makes it simple to evaluate and integrate Iridium® APNT into new and existing systems without having to design your own PCB around the Iridium APNT ASIC. Designed for developers and systems integrators, the compact PCBA provides access to the full capabilities of the Iridium APNT ASIC, together with practical power, antenna and host interfaces including USB-C and serial. Iridium PNT provides an independent source of positioning and precise timing using signals from the Iridium Low Earth Orbit satellite network. Its signal is approximately 1,000 times stronger than standard GPS/GNSS signals, providing greater resilience in environments where GNSS may be unavailable, degraded, jammed or spoofed - the signals are also encrypted, and can be decrypted only by a valid APNT Receiver and License Key.
The PCB assembly hosts an Iridium® PNT ASIC and provides a serial interface to your project (virtual over USB-C and physical over UART/TTL). As well as a u.FL 1PPS out and a u.FL SMA connector for the Iridium Antenna.

The RockBLOCK APNT does not contain a GNSS receiver, it will only provide positions and timing data from Iridium's APNT (STL®) service.

A: The unit requires a licence key in order to enable the A-PNT service.
