Getting started with Voice

There is now an optional feature to allow the use a single voice channel under the Iridium 'Land Mobile' vertical.

This option is currently ONLY available on the RockREMOTE RUGGED (FP-RR-RUGGED-LAND)

Enable voice

Within the 'System' settings of the devices web UI a user can enable or disable the voice capability of the hardware. Note that this option will only appear in devices that have been configured as Land Mobile devices in our factory.

SIP extension

A second line and further extension options may be enabled in a future release of the FW.

It is not possible to edit the SIP extension parameters in the current FW release.

POTS

RockREMOTE does not currently have the capability to support POTS.

Pre-set dialing

An option in the 'system' settings of the UI allows you to populate up to 5 pre-set telephone numbers. If these fields are left blank then SIP phone users can dial any number they wish. If one or more is populated then dialing is RESTRICTED ONLY TO THESE NUMBERS. The SIP phone user simply enters a single digit 1 to 5 in order to trigger dialing to the pre-sets.

Call Log

Call date, time, source, desination, duration and outcome are recorded in the service logs of the RockREMOTE. This information can be exported from the Web UI (System/Export)
