RockSTAR Burst Firmware Update Procedure

Requirements

To complete the firmware update on your RockSTAR Burst pager you will need:

• RockSTAR Burst
• USB cable (supplied with RockSTAR Burst)
• Firmware file (Burst01.bin) downloaded and saved onto your computer

tip

USB-C model Please use the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. USB-C to USB-C will not work

Procedure

1. Plug the USB cable into your computer
2. On the RockSTAR Burst, navigate the menu system to Settings > Connect USB and press OK
3. Plug the USB cable into your RockSTAR Burst
4. The RockSTAR Burst will appear in your file browser as a removable storage device
5. Copy the Burst01.bin file from your computer onto the RockSTAR Burst's storage
6. Safely eject the RockSTAR Burst from your computer
7. Remove the USB cable from your RockSTAR Burst

The firmware installation will begin automatically once the cable is removed.

note

Once complete, the RockSTAR Burst will restart and be ACTIVE (pager on) — deactivate the device if it is not required.
